Terms of service
Effective October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and HandRaise (“we,” “us”). They cover the website, the dashboard, the iPhone app, the Chrome extension and the phone service. By creating an account, starting a free trial or using HandRaise, you agree to them.
If you use HandRaise for a company, you agree for that company too, and “you” means both of you.
The service
HandRaise is a phone system for real estate investors: a power dialer, calling and texting numbers, voicemail, AI call notes and other tools that work next to your CRM. We improve it all the time, so features change. If we remove a feature you pay for, we'll tell you first.
Your account and seats
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Each person who makes calls or sends texts needs their own seat. Don't share logins.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
Free trial and billing
- Your first 7 days are free. After that, HandRaise is month to month, and you can cancel anytime.
- Prices for seats, add-ons, numbers and texts are on our pricing page. Seats and add-ons bill at the start of each billing period. Usage, like texts, comes out of a prepaid balance that refills when it runs low.
- When you cancel, your service runs to the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund partial months.
- We may change our prices. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change reaches your bill.
- Prices don't include taxes. Any tax we have to collect is added to your bill.
- If a payment fails, we'll let you know. If it isn't fixed, we may pause your account.
Calling and texting laws are your responsibility
HandRaise gives you the tools. You decide who to call and text, and you're responsible for following the law when you do. That includes:
- The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the FCC's rules under it.
- The National Do Not Call Registry, state do-not-call lists and your own do-not-call list.
- Calling hours where the person you're calling lives.
- Getting the consent the law requires before calls or texts made with an autodialer or a prerecorded or artificial voice, and before marketing texts.
- The Virginia Telephone Privacy Protection Act and other state telemarketing laws, including any registration they require.
- Call recording laws. Some states require everyone on a call to agree to a recording. If you record, give the notice and get the consent each state requires.
HandRaise honors STOP replies automatically and keeps a do-not-text list, but that doesn't replace your own compliance. We don't give legal advice. Talk to your own attorney about your calling and texting.
Acceptable use
Don't use HandRaise to:
- Show a caller ID you aren't allowed to use, or hide who you are.
- Make robocalls or send prerecorded or artificial-voice messages without the consent the law requires.
- Harass, threaten or mislead anyone.
- Send spam, or text people who haven't agreed to hear from you.
- Send or store anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- Break, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or get around its limits.
- Resell HandRaise without our written OK.
Unlimited calling means one person on one call at a time, in the US and Canada.
Text messages
Texts you send through HandRaise: the people you text must have agreed to hear from you. Name your business and honor opt-outs. Texting needs your business registered with the carriers, and carriers can filter or block texts at any time.
Texts we send you: we may text you about your account, like sign-in codes, alerts and service notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your CRM
When you connect a CRM, you let HandRaise read and write the records you give it access to, for example to load your dial folders and to save call outcomes, notes and tasks. You can disconnect it anytime. Your agreement with your CRM still applies to your use of it. DataSift is a trademark of its owner. HandRaise isn't affiliated with or endorsed by DataSift.
AI features
Some features use AI, like call notes, call answering and text replies. AI can be wrong. Review what it writes before you rely on it, including what it saves to your records. You're responsible for how you use AI features, including any notice or consent the law requires.
No emergency calls
HandRaise can't call 911 or any other emergency service, and it isn't a replacement for a regular phone. Keep another way to reach emergency services.
Your data
- Your data stays yours: your contacts, recordings, notes and messages. We use it only to run HandRaise for you, as our Privacy Policy explains.
- Ask us for a copy of your data anytime while your account is open.
- After you cancel, we delete your data within 30 days. Copies in backups are gone within 90 days.
- You're responsible for having the right to use the data you bring into HandRaise.
Availability
We work hard to keep HandRaise running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Calls and texts travel over carriers and networks we don't control. We may take the service down briefly for maintenance.
Canceling and closing accounts
- You can cancel anytime from your account or by contacting us.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or goes unpaid. When we can, we'll tell you first.
- You can move your numbers to another provider when you leave. Start the move before your account closes. Numbers released after that may be gone.
Disclaimers
HandRaise is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, deals or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used HandRaise, including your calls, texts, recordings or content, or because you broke these terms or the law, you'll cover our losses and reasonable legal costs.
Governing law
Virginia law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Virginia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
Everything else
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about HandRaise. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer your account without our OK. We can transfer these terms if HandRaise is sold or reorganized.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email you or show a notice in HandRaise before it takes effect. Using HandRaise after that means you accept the new terms.
